he's kind of ornery, but he's gentle unless he's feeling threatened. he must've been spooked about all that big outdoors. which is funny, cause he was a street cat when i found him. sorta. picked him outta a cardboard box in the middle of the rain. can you imagine? i was just walking by and happened to hear him yowling.
[His eyelights go distant for just a moment. Humans can be so...unremarkably callous. Just this casual ability to actively not give a shit about other living things. Is that worse than passively not giving a shit, the way Sans does when he's at his lower points? He doesn't know. That's one of those moral arguments he tries not to get into anymore.]
funny thing is i was just planning on giving him food and shelter for a bit until someone else could adopt him. didn't think i'd be able to handle, uh. looking after a pet. but he just kinda stuck around.
[Anyway, enough waxing nostalgic and vaguely depressing. His grin brightens and he chuckles like an asshole when Mettaton catches the pun.]
yeah, maybe you're right. was kinda hollow.
[He leans back languidly in his chair.] heh, that's a question i ask myself daily. but nah, he's a great guy. his puns are few and far between, but they're actually impressive.
